Job Overview:

We are growing our multi-talented team, and looking for an experienced and motivated Vice President, Transaction Monitoring to join our Product team, and help shape the strategy and vision of our cutting-edge, artificial intelligence-powered product related to Transaction Monitoring, managing financial crime risks across Anti-Money Laundering, PEP and Sanctions.


Location: 100% Remote, anywhere in the US


Key Duties: 

  • Leading product vision, strategy, development and growth roadmap for the transaction monitoring product, covering on-premise, cloud and SaaS
  • Design, own and implement the business solution for transaction monitoring
  • Scaling up the transaction monitoring product globally, by partnering with the leading banks and industry leaders, to expand product features and use cases
  • Leading the team of Data Scientists, Product Managers and Engineers, to deliver successful POVs (Proof of Value), and a clear path to production
  • Leading client engagement across the product lifecycle: discovery, design, development, testing and sustaining
  • Own product results, including product performance, customer experience, business metrics, market research and competition analysis
  • Establish product and organizational priorities, including cross functional alignment, to drive client success and business growth globally
  • Effectively communicate strategies and plans to various stakeholders, including customers and senior management
  • Mentor and lead a team of high performing product managers and SMEs
  • Report to the Head of Product, present challenges faced by key clients and potential solutions for their needs


Requirements: 

    • 10+ years of experience in financial institutions, technology or consulting roles, in the Transaction Monitoring / Anti-Financial Crime / Anti-Money Laundering / Customer Due Diligence / Anti-Fraud domain in global banks, technology or consulting firms is a must
    • Experience with the AML behavioral detection solutions for transaction monitoring process, including data, investigation and workflow management systems, such as Mantas, Detica, Actimize, etc
    • Experience and strong knowledge of AML framework, scenario selection / development, AML typologies and red-flags, anomaly detection, dynamic vs rules based detection, segmentation, threshold setting, and ongoing maintenance of the detection environment
    • Ability to understand and effectively manage the transaction monitoring risks across various business segments and geographies. 
    • Strong understanding of technical design and architecture, integration options, tuning, analytics, data quality management, data lineage, etc.
    • Experience with technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing would be preferred
    • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think out of the box to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, risk management and leadership skills
    • Ability to prioritize a diverse workload with multiple deadlines
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing directions based on business needs
